Alutal is participating in McHappy Day 2025, one of the largest charity campaigns in the country. The event will take place on Saturday, August 23rd, at all McDonald's stores in Sorocaba. A portion of the proceeds from Big Mac sandwich sales will go to projects that help children and adolescents with cancer.
In Sorocaba and the surrounding region, the funds raised will be donated to GPACI (Childhood Cancer Research and Assistance Group), a leading hospital for free treatment of pediatric cancer patients, serving more than 47 municipalities.
Headquartered in Votorantim, Total emphasizes its social responsibility policy by supporting the campaign once again. "It's a gesture that helps ensure free, humane care for children and adolescents who need extra support in the fight against cancer," the company emphasized in a statement.
According to the company, supporting GPACI goes beyond solidarity: it means offering not only medical care, but also shelter and emotional support to families facing a difficult time.
McDia Feliz, promoted by the Ronald McDonald Institute for 37 years, is considered one of the main charity events in Brazil, with a direct impact on the funding of institutions working in pediatric oncology.
Thousands of consumers are expected to participate in this solidarity initiative taking place across Brazil. To contribute, simply purchase a Big Mac—at the promotional price of R$20—on August 23rd at any McDonald's location.
How to buy a McHappy Day
McHappy Day 2025 is approaching and, this year, customers will be able to guarantee their Big Mac Voucher in advance, through the Méqui app.
To participate in this solidarity action, simply download the Méqui app from the Apple Store or Google Play.
In the application, the customer must:
- Access the home page and select Order and Collect;
- Choose the restaurant where you want to pick up your Big Mac on 23/08;
- Click on the McHappy Day Advance Sale option;
- Select the desired product.
The order will be stored until 22/08/2025 and can only be picked up at the chosen restaurant on 23/08/2025, with no possibility of changing the location.
You can also purchase vouchers through McDelivery, within the same app. To do so, enter your delivery address and select the McHappy Day Advance Sale tab.
On the day of the event, customers who opted for Order and Collect should access the app, go to My Orders, and click "I've Arrived." They can then choose their pickup method: counter, drive-thru, table, or parking lot. The system will generate a pickup number, which must be provided at the restaurant for pickup.
Those who opted for delivery will have the option to "receive my order now" in the app. From there, the order will be produced and delivered to the registered address. Collection must be made by 20 PM, but in some locations, the service may extend until 23:30 PM, depending on opening hours.
