From September 30th to October 2nd, Alutal will be at the 40th Brazilian Congress of Maintenance and Asset Management (CBMGA), organized by Abraman (Brazilian Association of Maintenance and Asset Management). The event will be held in Rio de Janeiro and will bring together representatives from leading companies in the sector in Latin America.
For the first time, Alutal is present at the conference, presenting cutting-edge solutions in industrial monitoring and predictive maintenance. During the event's audience, the company will have a dedicated space to demonstrate technologies capable of transforming asset management, increasing reliability and reducing operating costs, with emphasis on the PW Sensors and Metrix Vibration lines.
Alutal's lecture at the Abraman Congress
At the conference, electrical engineer Edgard Stupka – a partner at PW Sensors – will give a lecture on innovative industrial monitoring solutions using wireless sensors and artificial intelligence. The topic is "Online monitoring system with LoRa wireless sensors for continuous vibration and temperature collection," and will demonstrate how cutting-edge solutions can transform the way industries monitor their assets.
The system developed sends real-time data to a web platform that brings together graphs, alarms, reports, and automatic diagnostics supported by artificial intelligence. Furthermore, notifications can be triggered via WhatsApp, ensuring a quick response in critical situations.
Another highlight is multi-protocol integration, which facilitates communication with various management and monitoring systems already used in industrial plants. This flexibility is strategic in complex environments, where interoperability is a major challenge.
"The use of wireless sensors and artificial intelligence is not just a trend, but a necessity in sectors that demand high reliability and reduced operating costs. The goal is to prevent failures, avoid unexpected downtime, and optimize resources," explains the engineer.
"It's a unique opportunity to share how our wireless vibration and temperature sensors, with LoRa technology, are transforming the way the industry tracks its assets," adds Stupka.

Alutal's Metrix Vibration at the Congress
In addition to the presentation, Alutal will also be showcasing the Metrix Vibration line of solutions, a global leader in industrial vibration monitoring. Founded in 1965 by Peter J. Sundt, Metrix initially focused on geophysical exploration but soon shifted its expertise to machinery protection.
The company pioneered practical and affordable solutions for the industry, including mechanical vibration computers, 4-20 mA vibration transmitters, high-temperature speed sensors, and impact transmitter technology for reciprocating machines.
Headquartered in Houston, Texas, and operating in over 65 countries, Metrix has established itself as a strategic partner for industries that rely on pumps, motors, fans, gas turbines, generators, compressors, and other rotating and reciprocating machinery. Its technologies help prevent costly downtime, increase operational safety, and extend equipment life.
Metrix vibration monitoring systems are used in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, energy (including nuclear), sanitation, chemical industries, and air separation. With over 55 years of experience, the brand is recognized for offering accurate, robust, and easy-to-use tools, playing a vital role in reducing maintenance costs and preventing critical failures.
“Operations in Brazil began in 1994 and for over 8 years it has been distributed exclusively by Alutal, which offers technical support, installation, commissioning and training, ensuring maximum benefit from Metrix solutions,” explains Gustavo Kupper, the company's vibration line manager.
A reference congress in Latin America

Held annually by Abraman, CBMGA is considered the most important industry forum in Latin America. In addition to the lectures, the event features Expoman, a parallel fair that brings together exhibitors of products, services, and equipment for maintenance and asset management.
The program aims to serve everyone from managers and engineers to technicians and students interested in professional development. The goal is to share the latest technology and management practices, always focusing on productivity, quality, safety, and sustainability.
According to the organizers, the 40th anniversary edition reinforces the congress's role as a space for networking and new business. Choosing Rio de Janeiro as the venue also helps attract visitors from different regions of the country and abroad.
